Joshua Tree Anniversary | Shelby + Grant | Cori Taylor Photography

Shelby & Grant are long time friends, and when they asked me to shoot their 1 year wedding anniversary photos in Joshua Tree, I was ECSTATIC! I had a vision of what I imagined Shelby wearing, and she was so amazing and went with it, and totally rocked it! That hat and those black boots are what my dreams are made of! On our drive out there we made a pit stop for a late lunch in Palm Springs (because duhhh) and scarfed down some margs & Mexican food at Las Casuelas (because also duh). With our bellies fully satisfied we then ventured out to Tree! Both Shelby & Grant told me they were a little anxious and nervous because they think they're awkward in photos, but let me tell you, they absolutely were not, in any way shape or form. They absolutely killed it and went along with all the prompts I gave them, easy peasy. We did a short little loop walk through Hidden Valley where the sun was peeking through the mountains behind us, then frolicked around the open desert during the most amazing summer sunset. Before this shoot, I hadn't been to Joshua Tree since I was a little kid and now I am already dying to go back again ASAP!!!
